Getting comfy for the looong flight!

Russell is excited and proud that he is bringing his family back to Germany.

You can see by the look on his face! :-) Lauren is excited that she did not have to sit with us on the flight. It was nice because Isabella was seated between Russell and I. Such a typical teenager, she acted like she did not know us. :)

Mommy and Isabella having a silly moment! Our lives were so different before she came along! She makes me smile.

Can you say sleepy!?! What a sweet moment, this is a moment they will both cherish. Daddy/Daughter moment!

Saved by technology! Isabella watched Tangled

(her favorite movie obsession right now).

Of course she has Night Night Bunny in hand.

After a loooong 10 hour flight and a few naps, lots of milk, a few trips to the tiny bathroom, and a few lapse around the plane we arrived in Germany all in one piece.

Isabella was P-E-R-F-E-C-T on the plane I could not have asked for a better behaved 2 year old. I was impressed because she stayed in her seat and stayed buckled...Russell and I were very lucky. We only hope she can repeat this behavior when we go back home and I'm by myself.

Waiting on our 10 hour flight to Germany in The Admirals Lounge!

Here we are waiting in The Admirals Lounge and Isabella is looking out the window asking all sorts of questions. She especially asks if that is our airplane.

Lauren, Dad and Isabella waiting to head to the gate.
Me, Lauren and Isabella taking a great mother/daughters picture...I love my girls!

Russell and I

We were all very excited and nervous about our 10 hour flight into Frankfurt, Germany. We were not sure what we what was going to happen on the plane or once we arrived. Our plane took off at 2:45 pm Dallas time and was set to arrive at 7 am Germany time...hmmm sounds like a whirlwind.

Hooray for Summer!!

We love summer for so many reasons.

Lauren gets to take a break from school and all of her activities, no schedule to follow, she gets to sleep in and have sleep overs any day of the week and who cares if you sleep at all or just 20 minutes, ice cream/pizza with friends at 3 am.

Isabella gets to take a day care break, sleep in, go to swim lessons and best of all gymnastics. She loves it as much as Lauren did. I'm so glad she will get up and is excited to go and see her friends and be busy climbing and jumping for 45 minutes. I love it because right after lunch I can expect a really good nap which gives me a 2-3 hour break.

Hooray for Summer!!!

Where has time gone?...

Almost 3 years ago we were a family of 3 and then July 19th Isabella officially joined our family. None of us could ever imagine our lives or our world without her. Look how beautiful my girls have grown. I'm such a proud mother and I know Russell is very proud of his girls. We count our blessings everyday for the privilege of being a part of these girls lives.

Double Take Recital 2011

Future Double Take dancer!
What do you do when it takes awhile to start...text...text...and text some more! Teenagers crack me up!

Flowers from Isabella

Flowers from Dad

Where did this year go? It seems like only yesterday Isabella was still an infant and Lauren was still in elementary school. Lauren has been dancing for 9 years now, next year Isabella will be joining her...Look out Double Take. This is the last year I will be in the audience for a few years. I enjoyed taking a break from being a stage mom, but I can't wait to do it all again with Isabella.

I'm so glad that Russell was able to join us for this event, he has never missed a recital and him living part time in Germany was not to keep him away.

Spring Band Concert

Waiting for the concert to begin...so silly!

National Junior Honor Society Newest Member

Several of Lauren's friends that were also inducted tonight!

Such beautiful girls!

Mom and Dad are so proud of you!

Signing the induction book.

***Proud Little Sister***

What an honor for a student to be inducted into National Junior Honor Society. When Lauren came home and told us she was nominated to be inducted into this special group we were extremely proud and excited for her and also for all of her accomplishments. What makes me proud is that she worked hard for this without knowing this award existed. Lauren has a gift and when she puts her mind to it she can accomplish great and amazing things. This award is proof! I hope that Lauren sees this as something she wants to work hard for, and continue to follow the academic path that awaits her.

Lauren I hope you know that your dad and I are incredibly proud of this award and all that you have done this year. We know if you work hard great things are in your future.
We both love you very much!

Easter Sunday

Russell and I are working very hard to be together as much as we can over the next 12 months. We are looking at each other's calendars; his personal, his business, my work calendar, my calendar I keep for the kids. Sometimes things get complicated or it just can't happen. Easter Sunday was not an option. We have never been apart from each other for the past 15 years on Easter Sunday and this was not going to be the first year. The girls seem to be growing so fast. It seems like just yesterday my girls were still little. Lauren will be 13 in a few short months and Isabella will be 3. Where did time go? Hope you enjoy these pictures Russell.

Papaw and Isabella

There are 77 years difference between my Dad and Isabella. She is probably his last grandchild from his children. I need to make sure we have plenty of these memories captured on film. This year my Dad will be 80.WOW!! I am so lucky my children have their grandfather. Growing up my grandparents passed away while I was a young age and some of them were before I was ever born. My job as a mother is to make sure my kids are exposed to their Papaw as much as we can.

St. Patrick's Day

Russell is Irish and it is a big holiday for him, so we had to make sure and get our shirts ready for his big day. Luckily he was home for the big day so that he could be in our pictures. Lauren was at the mall when Russell took pictures so I did not get one of both girls together with their Dad...there is always next year!

Dallas Stars Practice

Anyone that knows Russell knows he could eat, breath, and sleep The Dallas Stars. One of his first trips home from Germany we were up early at practice. Lauren and Russell have gone to so many practices...this is just one of their things that they do. I love that he brings out a different side to her that does not describe girlie at all. We are now able to include Isabella in these special outings.

Sisters

It is so far and few that I am able to catch a picture of Lauren and Isabella. This is another for Russell that is living part time in Germany. I know how much he misses his girls and they miss him too.

Russell,

Enjoy the sweet smiles of your sweet girls!
