Today is your day Lauren. Your Dad and I are so proud of you and we can't believe how much you have grown. You are such a beautiful young lady. We hope that you enjoy your special day!!!
Keaton was on the ball and has already given Isabella her first birthday present. It is really cute, it is a talking purse that has lipstick, a bracelet, keys, money, and mirror. It sings several different songs. I can't wait to see her walking around with her new purse...once she learns to walk.
We were on our way to go shopping and Isabella decided to entertain herself in her room. She was so cute, she never saw me with the camera. Lately we have noticed Isabella taking an interest in her books. Lauren used to do the same thing when she was her age, so it is really neat that she would follow in her footsteps.
Okay so we finally decided to get a pool for Isabella, but we also had to find something Lauren would fit in so she could play with her. Here are a few cute pictures of Lauren, Russell and Isabella.
Well here we are this is the last picture before Isabella turns one! We are so very excited, but sad at the same time because it seems like this year has flown by!!!
I can't pick one or two so here are SEVERAL pictures of Isabella's first trip to the pool...and yes they are STINKIN' CUTE!!!! The water was a little cold so we did not last very long in the water, but the time that we were in the water was captured very well.
Bella being a ham Lauren was not ready for this picture.
We are so proud of you!
Lauren and Stuart
Here are a few pictures after recital. It was late after recital and we did not want to fight the traffic that may have developed after the George Strait/Reba McEntire concert at the new stadium. Luckily Red Robin was open and so loaded up the car and headed to dinner. Luckily it was still open and we were able to enjoy the nice evening weather.
My Dad (Papaw) thinks the world of Lauren and is truly one of her biggest fans, but now he has competition...Isabella. Her face lights up everytime she comes into the room. She really does adore her big sister. We believe the girls have a special bond...Lauren waited a very long time to have someone in her life to call her sister. The bond that these two girls are developing is truly amazing.
This is one of our favorite times of the year...RECITAL TIME!!! Lauren works really hard all year to learn new moves and techniques so that she can really shine. This year was really hard for me because I did not get the chance to do the stage mom thing. I actually sat in the audience with Russell, Isabella, Papaw, Stuart and Bob. Lauren danced as if nobody was watching, she poured her heart and soul into what she really loves.
We are so proud of all your accomplishments Lauren!
I could not resist making flowers to go along with Isabella's headbands and bows. I know it is huge, but it is so stinkin' cute! It did not last in her hair very long, but long enough to snap these awesome pictures. I love the sweet picture of Lauren and Isabella. Isabella lights up everytime she sees Lauren.
They were supposed to be getting ready for a science presentation and somehow landed in Lauren's bathroom and managed to put on ALL of her old bows that she now longer wears and we are now saving for Isabella. I'm sure once they see this post they may be a little mortified! Russell and I thought it was toooo funny!!!
Here lately Lauren has had a few friends coming to visit and hang out. They are really well behaved and just hang out in the sunroom or outside talking.
As you can see she DID NOT lay down for this picture...why do you ask...she would not stay still. She kept rolling over and crawling away. It was so much work so we settled for sitting which is fine. You can still see how much she is growing.
Isabella has finally gotten to the point that she no longer needs a baby bath tub. She can sit in her bath and actually most of the time stays put and does not try to get out or try to stand up. She is is getting so big!
